Subsea HVDC interconnectors have gradually increased in power capacity and length over the last 50 years, playing an increasingly strategic role in national and transnational grid connections. These power links have enhanced countries’ energy security, fostered international collaboration in the power sector, and, more recently, eased the integration of intermittent renewable energy sources.

Purposes :

- To discuss HVDC undersea/subsea cable capability and technology

- To discuss the challenges and opportunity of HVDC under/sub sea cable in Indonesia context

- To discuss options on how Indonesia can utilize HVDC Undersea Cable for inter- connecting remote massive resources of renewable energy to load centers.
